About ETAEc Conference

The 1st ETAEc Conference Edition was organized in 2015 by The Economics Faculty, University of Pitesti, Romania in collaboration with The European Business School, Paris, France, The Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute, Kavala, Greece and The University of Entrepreneurship and Technology Polkowice, Poland. Since then, the International Conference has grown in international participation and it has become a well known scientific event, an exchange and sharing platform for researchers worldwide.

The Purpose of ETAEc Conference

The purpose of the ETAEc Conference is to create the opportunity for academics and researchers worldwide to connect and share their recent findings in all aspects of methodological, conceptual, applied or theoretical in the economics fields regarding new trends and approaches in the context of a knowledge based economy. Also, this scientific event aims to become a scientific forum to discuss the most recent trends, approaches and findings regarding new developments in various economics fields, with an interdisciplinary focus in order to bridge the knowledge gaps between theory and practice and promote excellence in economic research.

We welcome submissions in the following economic topics:
Economy,
History of Economics,

Accounting,
Statistics Financial Analysis,

Business Administration,
Marketing,
Commerce and Tourism,
Communication,
Management and Marketing in Education Business Informatics,
Law

We also welcome submissions with focus on new trends and approaches in education, health care and industry.

Submitted papers will be subjected to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (Special Issue of Scientific Bulletin). The Scientific Bulletin is edited by University of Pitesti and it is indexed in: RePEc database and DOAJ database (http://economic.upit.ro/BS/buletin).

Considering the pandemic context, the 6th EtaEc Conference will be organized online.

School of Management and Technology – Porto Polytechnic, Portugal

The School of Management and Technology (ESTG) integrates the largest polytechnic in Portugal (Porto Polytechnic – IPP) where more than 20,000 individuals’ study, work and research.

 

ESTG.IPP is the only institution of public higher education in the region of Tâmega e Sousa. It has been leading since 1999, as a reference in the university-industry cooperation.

Currently at ESTG.IPP we are offering 7 undergraduate degrees, 7 Masters and 7 Higher Professional Technical Courses, organized into 5 departments: Business Sciences, Informatics, Law – Legal Practice, Occupational Safety, Exact and Natural Sciences.

ESTG.IPP also offers executive and tailor-made trainning through the Industry Business School that is focused on the challenges faced by SMEs. At ESTG.IPP also exists a support office for entrepreneurs that aims the development of students skills while strenghtening the relationship between ESTG.IPP and the business community.

Research activities are mainly conducted through the Center for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems. This research center is a functional unit for innovation and research, providing services to the community and disseminating knowledge in its specific fields.

 

Jan Wyżykowski University,  Polkowice, Poland

 

Jan Wyżykowski University was created due to the cooperation of Polkowice Commune and Polkowice County. The founder of the University is the ZAMPOL company, which Polkowice Commune and Polkowice County own all the shares of. On 30th August 2001, the Founder received the permit to establish non-state high vocational school from the Minister of National Education and Sport.

Of 1st of January 2016, following the consent issued by the Minister of Science and Higher Education the Lower Silesian University of Entrepreneurship and Technology in Polkowice merged with the Copper Basin High Vocational College in Lubin.

As a result of the merger at the second decision issued by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, our University received also the name: Jan Wyżykowski University.

Doctoral School in Economic Sciences, University of Craiova, Romania

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, founded in 1966 as the Faculty of Economic Sciences, has experienced a spectacular development in terms of its study programmes and teaching and  research staff.

If in 1966, the Faculty of Economic Sciences began its activity with 166 students enrolled in three specializations and a few professors, nowadays, FEBA has almost 3000 students and its teaching and research staff is comprised of 110 people. In Craiova, the students are enrolled in 10 Bachelor’s degree programmes, of which two in English, 11 Master’s degree programmes, of which one in English, and 5 Doctoral domains. There is also a branch of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, located in Drobeta Turnu-Severin, with 4 Bachelor’s degree programmes and 3 Master’s degree programmes.

For more than 50 years, our faculty has taken pride in over 35 000 economists, of whom 9500 have obtained a Master’s degree diploma. Nowadays, they work within the most varied fields of the economic area.

Since 2005, the curriculum structure of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is in accordance with the requirements established by the Bologna Process:

Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, Poland

The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business is a long-established centre of scientific and educational activities in the region. Its precursor, The Higher School of Trade, was established on the initiative of the Wroclaw Association for the Advance of Economic and Trade Sciences, the original founder and proprietor, in accordance with the Act of 1937 on privately owned schools of higher education. The majority of staff was represented by former lecturers and employees of King Jan Kazimierz University and the Academy of Foreign Trade in Lvov, and of King Stefan Batory University in Vilnius. Professor Kamil Stefko was the first elected Rector of the school. The inaugural lecture was given by professor Wincent Stys (future Rector of the Higher School of Economics on the day of 3 February 1947. The Higher School of Trade was a single-faculty trade school offering 3-year courses in the following specialisations: General Trade, Cooperative Management, Administration and Public Economy, Trade Insurance. In 1948, total number of student admissions was set at 2817, ranking the school as the second largest institution of higher education in Western Poland. Between 1947-1950, total number of students exceeded 6000.

The Wroclaw University of Economics and Business is ranked among the top economic schools of higher education in Poland, and an important centre of science and research. Its activities are aimed at maintaining and strengthening the position of the university on regional, national and international levels, improving competitive advantage, and shaping its image of a modern institution, open and friendly to its employees, students, and the environment.
